# FBX Import

It is possible to bring in FBX files from external softwares into Grid Studio.

Grid Studio supports the importing of the following from a FBX file:

* [static mesh](/grid/fbx-import/static-mesh.md)
* [animation](/grid/fbx-import/animation.md)

When exporting the FBX from your 3D software, some settings are important to be aware of to ensure the information is carried over as intended.

Please refer to the relavant 3D software for the suggested settings to use when exporting your FBX.
