# Subobject

## **Concept & Behavior**

Subobject Hierarchy uses the physical parent-child structure of the project tree for grouping. Any object placed directly under the Smart Group in the project tree hierarchy automatically becomes a member of that Smart Group.

* Static / Structural Nature: Membership is dictated by tree placement. Dragging an object into the Smart Group adds it; dragging it out removes it.
* Visual Clarity: Ideal for users who prefer clear visual nesting in the project tree, treating the Smart Group like a folder that double-acts as a controller.

## **How to Set Up**

1. Create a new `Smart Group` object&#x20;
2. select `Subobjects` as the type
3. In the Project Tree, drag and drop target objects directly as a child object of the `Smart Group` object.
