The **Notes Layer** is used to place visual notes and annotations directly on a Timeline.

Notes can be used to add context, instructions, reminders, TODOs, or other information for people working with the Timeline.

They do not affect Timeline playback or control any other functionality.

## Notes

Each Note contains a **Title**, a **Short Note**, and a longer **Note** field.

### Title

The **Title** is displayed at the top of the Note Item in the Timeline.

It can be edited directly by double-clicking the Title.

### Short Note

The **Short Note** is displayed prominently inside the Note Item and provides a quick visual description directly in the Timeline.

It can also be edited directly by double-clicking the text.

### Note

The **Note** field is intended for longer or more detailed information.

It is edited in the **Inspector** and is not displayed directly inside the Timeline Item.

This makes it possible to keep the Timeline itself compact while still attaching more detailed information to a Note.
