# Run Calibration

### Run Calibration

When a good distribution has been achieved, it is a good idea to run the calibration process now and look at the error margin. To do so, press the ![](/files/bJ0IyjT7AaMskZNucm0N) icon.

{% hint style="info" %}
Depending the number of total images captures, this process might take some time.
{% endhint %}

After the calibration is completed, an error margin number would be displayed on each of the captured image. Also, an overall error would be given to a specific zoom/focus step.

{% hint style="info" %}
In an ideal situation, the error should be below 1.
{% endhint %}

If the error is higher than expected, try the following steps:
* review the already captured images and see if some are extremely high. If so, disable them and run the calibration again.
* capture more images at different angles / positions.
* check if the tracking system is deliver “clean” data.
For more details of how to understand the calibration results, please refer to the [Observations](/grid/virtual-production/lens-and-tracking-calibration-wizard/analyse-observations.md) view.

### Continue with different zoom and/or focus step

Simply change zoom and/or focus to the next needed calibration values and continue capturing images.
