Wallpaper

Wallpaper automatically generates a desktop background with optional system information overlays such as uptime, CPU, RAM, storage, display, and network details.

Information Wallpaper

The Information Wallpaper feature automatically generates a desktop background that can display various system and machine details.

When Enable Information Wallpaper is activated, Grid Gateway will generate and apply a custom wallpaper. This overrides the current Windows wallpaper settings.

Several information elements can be displayed on the wallpaper. Each element can be enabled or disabled individually in the settings. Only the selected elements will be rendered on the generated wallpaper.

Available elements include:

  • Logo – Displays the SP Grid logo on the wallpaper.

  • Machine Name – Shows a custom name for the machine.

  • Custom Info – Displays additional user-defined information.

  • System Up Time – Shows how long the system has been running.

  • CPU & RAM Usage – Displays current processor and memory usage.

  • Drive Space – Shows available and total storage space for detected drives.

  • Displays – Lists connected monitors and their resolutions.

  • Network Interfaces – Displays detected network interfaces and their IP addresses.

The default background image is generated automatically. To use a custom background, place a file named BG.png in the same directory as the Grid Gateway executable. When this file is detected, it will be used as the wallpaper background and the selected information overlays (e.g., system uptime, CPU usage, and other metrics) will be rendered on top of it.
