Sending Widgets to the Grid Engine Display
To display widgets on the Grid Engine front display, the following steps are required:
Create a Linked Widget In the Grid Studio Project Tree, create a Linked Widget object.
Open the Widget Editor Open the widget by performing a secondary click (right-click) → Open Editor.
Set the Widget Size In the Layout settings of the widget, set the size to exactly 320 × 240 pixels, which matches the resolution of the Grid Engine display.
Design the Widget Design the widget as needed and connect it to data sources if required.
Create Additional Widgets Repeat these steps to create as many linked widgets as needed for your project.
Assign Widgets to the Gateway Object Select the Gateway object in the Project Tree and open the Inspector.
Add User Widgets In the General tab, locate User Widget and click the + icon to add Project Widgets.
Link the Widgets This creates a widget parameter where you can select and link the Linked Widgets from the Project Tree.
Select the Displayed Widget Switch to the Widget tab in the Gateway object. In the widget preview window, perform a secondary click (right-click) and select one of the widgets previously linked in the User Widget list.
Once assigned, the selected widget will be displayed on the Grid Engine device display.
