Wake On Lan

Because Grid Gateway requires the target system to be running, it cannot be used to power on a computer that is currently turned off.

To start a system remotely, Grid Studio provides a built-in Wake On LAN function.

This action can be found under:

Action → Functions → System → WakeOnLan

To use this function, the MAC address of the network interface of the target machine must be specified. When triggered, Grid Studio sends a Wake On LAN (WoL) network packet to power on the system.

Note: Wake On LAN must be supported and enabled in the target machine’s BIOS/UEFI and network adapter settings for this feature to work.
