Adding New Board and Adding Widgets

Detail Description:

Adding a Board

In a new blank project, there is no board object. You would have to click on the board window and add a new board to the project first if you would like to use the board in your project.

Tool Bar

Now there is a new tool bar at the top of the window.

On the left hand side, there are buttons which give you quick access to interface items, widgets, frame, and nodes.

Next to that, there are some helpful tools like helping you to align selected board objects and re-order the layering of the objects. There is also a button to manage how you view the nodes.

On the right hand side, there is the button to open the flowchart of any selected board object.

Play Mode

There is the new Play button, which enables the board into Play mode. New in v2, interface and widgets need to be in Play mode to be interactive. You can also toggle this play mode by pressing the “v” button on the keyboard when the board is selected.

Additional Options

On the far right, you have the button to edit the tool bar which allows you to rearrange the buttons and add new shortcut buttons. And next to it, there is quick access to the help menu.

Snapping

To help users line up the nodes and widgets on the board better, there is now a new snapping function.

Under the board object, inside the inspector, there is now a new tab called Snapping

There are settings to toggle on the different type of snapping options and also adjust the margin between objects.
