Project Tree
Big Picture Goal:
In Grid Studio our goal is to create a more consolidated Project Tree and allow our users to find, create, view and organise all the different objects in their project.
Sample Project

The project tree is where you would find all objects associated to your project. It is also the place where you would start adding objects into your project.

Adding Objects
To add things to the project tree, you can right click on any empty area of the project tree or click on the (+) icon to add new items into your project.
Different items from the previous different categories can now be organised together in the same tree structure.

For example, you can organise your alignment profile and lens profile as a child of a camera object. If it makes sense, you can also put the IO connection related to that camera object under the same folder as well.
Right next to the previous (+) icon in the header section of the Project window, there is an icon for filtering the project tree.

Organizing the Project Tree

Click and drag the objects around in the project tree to move them up and down.
You can also drag an object to be within another object which creates a parent-child relationship.
Drag and Drop into a Folder
It is possible to directly add an object and place it under another object to automatically organize and create a parent child relationship.

Multiple Project Window
As your project gets bigger and more complex, your project tree will expand along with it. Having the option to add filters can help you to narrow down the item that you are looking for.

To go along with that, you can also open up multiple Project windows in the same SP project. This can help you then have different project windows with different filter options and customise the UI based on your needs.
This opens up the flexibility to organise the project tree structure in the way that best suits your needs.
