Grid Viewer for Windows
The Grid Viewer for Windows application can be downloaded from the Stage Precision website in the login area under Downloads.
Currently, the Grid Studio installer also installs Grid Viewer, and this installer must be used to install the application. Therefore, please download and install Grid Studio to obtain Grid Viewer for Windows.
A standalone installer for Grid Viewer will be made available in the future.
After installing the application on the target machine, the Grid Viewer can be launched directly to connect to a Grid Studio project.
To use the Viewer, a corresponding Grid Viewer object must be created in Grid Studio. Within this object, the Home Frame defines which interface frame will be displayed when the Viewer starts.
The Client IP and, if necessary, the network interface of the device must also be configured.
Once these settings are defined, the initial connection can be established by executing Setup Client from the Viewer object in the Inspector or via the Project Tree context menu.
After the setup has been pushed to the device, the Grid Viewer application will connect to the configured Grid Studio server and load the assigned interface.
Creating a Grid Viewer Object
To use a Grid Viewer client, a corresponding Grid Viewer object must be created in Grid Studio.
In the Project Tree, click the + button to add a new object. In the search field, type Grid Viewer, then select the object from the list to add it to the project.

Closing the Grid Viewer
The Grid Viewer application can be closed either directly on the device or remotely from Grid Studio.
On Windows, the Viewer runs in full-screen mode and can be closed by pressing Alt + F4 on the keyboard.
Alternatively, the Viewer can also be terminated remotely from Grid Studio. To do this, right-click the corresponding Viewer object in the Project Tree and select:
Actions → Kill Viewer
This will immediately close the Viewer application on the connected device.
