Connecting a viewer

Firstly we need to ensure that your device is on the same network please open the app or power on the touch screen and you will see a screen similar to below

Grid Viewer holding state

As you can see in the bottom left corner you have

  • Firmware Version

  • Local network address

  • Resolution of your display

  • Scale of your display

  • Which devices might be connected

And in the bottom right is your status indicator of your viewer.

Take a note of the resolution of your viewer as this will be important for correct scaling of your frames.

Now we can create a frame. Within the frame inspector, you can size your frame to match the resolution of the viewer hardware. (Note: This doesn't have to always be the case, however, it may make your workflow easier).

Next we need to add a Grid Viewer object into our Project tree. You will see that there is a red dot next to the name, this is the signify that the viewer isn't currently connected.

Setting up IP and connecting a home frame

We can connect which frame we wish to be our default 'Home' frame. This is the frame that if the unit is power cycled or the app restarted. Will always be the first frame that is connected.

Now that we've done this we can go ahead and setup our client and reload the page on our viewer

Setting up and reloading the client

Now your project is connected to your frame. from here you can use macros and interface options to navigate using your touch screen.
