Shortcuts & Key Mappings

Grid Studio provides a customizable shortcut system that allows users to quickly access frequently used functions using keyboard commands.

Shortcuts help speed up navigation, editing, and operation tasks across the entire application. Most shortcuts are fully configurable and can be adapted to individual workflows.

Some actions already have predefined key bindings, while others are initially unassigned and can be customized.

Opening the Shortcut Editor

To view or modify keyboard shortcuts:

1. Open Help in the Application Menu

2. Select Shortcuts

This opens the Shortcut Editor, where all available commands are listed.

On the right side of each command, you will see the currently assigned key bindings.

If only a "+" icon is displayed, the command currently has no shortcut assigned.

Assigning or Editing Shortcuts

Shortcuts can be changed or assigned directly inside the Shortcut Editor.

To assign a shortcut:

1. Click the "+" icon next to the desired command

2. A floating window will appear

3. Press the desired key combination on your keyboard

4. Click OK to confirm

The shortcut will immediately be assigned to the selected command.

Existing shortcuts can be changed using the same process.
