Artboard along with the widgets aims to create a more flexible platform for users to create their ideal dashboard with their own design language.

Adding an Artboard

In a new blank project, there is no board object. You would have to click on the board window and add a new board to the project first if you would like to use the board in your project.

Tool Bar

Top Tool Bar

The top tool bar provides an indication of what we are looking and and some quick access to some options.

Indication and Quick Navigation

Starting on the left, here is an indication of which board and which frame we are looking at.

Clicking on the name of the artboard, will bring up the list of other artboards in your project file. Selecting one of them allow you to quickly switch over to that artboard. There is also the option to create a new artboard.

Next to the name of the artboard, is the indication of the frame. Selecting on one of the frame will jump into that frame and allow you to work exclusively on that frame. There is also the option to createa new frame.

Quick Add

Next to that, we have some buttons that helps with quickly adding widgets and frames to the artboard or frame.

The first button of this group is the quick access to widgets that are available to the project.

Next to this is the button to quickly add a frame onto the board / frame.

Play Mode

The botton at the top right corner of the artboard view allows for toggling between the play mode of the artboard.

You can also toggle this play mode by pressing the “v” button on the keyboard when the board is selected.

Bottom Tool Bar

On the bottom right of the artboard view, there are some additional assistance buttons.

Alignment

When you have multiple objects selected you have the option to align / space objects.

Snapping

To help users line up the nodes and widgets on the board better, you can enable different snapping options.

Layering

When objects overlap each other, you can adjust the layering order of these objects.

Zoom

There is a quick access to adjusting the zoom level of the artboard window.
