Timeline

Overview
The Timeline view provides the editor for Timeline objects within a Grid Studio project.
It displays events arranged along a horizontal time axis, allowing users to visualize and edit time-based behavior within a project.
Timelines are commonly used to schedule events, control system behavior over time, and coordinate actions during runtime.
Dynamic Behavior
The Timeline view supports dynamic view behavior.
When a Timeline object is selected, the view automatically displays the corresponding timeline.
Like other dynamic views, the view can also be locked to a specific object to prevent it from updating when the selection changes.
Timeline Structure
The Timeline view organizes events into layers, where each layer represents a specific type of time-based behavior within a project.
Depending on the layer type, these layers can control different systems such as workflow triggers, parameter keyframes, media playback, camera switching, or other timeline-driven functionality.
Each layer can contain multiple time-based blocks arranged along the timeline, allowing complex behaviors to be coordinated over time.
More detailed information about the different layer types can be found in the Timeline section.
Purpose
The Timeline view provides a visual environment for designing and managing time-based events within a project.
