License Activation
Grid licenses can be activated using license keys or hardware dongles, and activation can be performed either online or offline depending on the system environment.
Licenses can also be managed by signing in to your online account directly through the License Manager, allowing you to view and activate available licenses on the current machine.
Multiple licenses can be added to a system. However, only one running Grid instance can consume a license at a time.
Opening the License Manager
The License Manager can be opened directly within Grid Studio.
To access it, click the Grid logo located in the upper-right corner of the application window. This opens the License Manager, where licenses can be activated, managed, and reviewed.
Add License with Key
Click + Add License in the License Manager.
In the Serial Number field, enter or paste the license key.
Click Activate License to complete the activation.
A confirmation message will appear indicating that the license was activated successfully. Click Close to finish the process.
Add License with Online Account
In the License Manager, click Online License at the bottom of the window.
A Sign In section will appear. Enter your email address to sign in.
You will receive a verification code by email. Enter this code to complete the sign-in process.
After signing in, you will first see your Orders. At the top of the list, click Licenses.
A list of all available licenses will be displayed. For the license you want to activate, click Actions on the right side and select Activate in Grid from the menu.
After activating a license through your online account, please remember to sign out. The connection to your account remains active until you manually log out.
To sign out:
Click Online License again in the License Manager.
In the top-right corner, click your account initials.
Select Sign Out.
Activate License Offline
In the License Manager, click Offline License in the lower-right corner.
Select Generate Offline Request File.
You will be prompted to save the request file.
Transfer this file to a computer with an internet connection and open activate.stageprecision.com.
Upload the request file by clicking Choose File or by dragging and dropping the file into the upload area.
Enter the License Key in the corresponding field.
Click Activate. A license activation file will be downloaded automatically. Transfer this file back to the machine where the license should be activated.
On the target machine, open the License Manager again and click Offline License.
Select Activate Offline License File.
A file browser will open. Select the downloaded activation file to complete the license activation.
