Editing
Overview
The Editing tab contains preferences that control certain editing behaviors and safety confirmations within the Grid Studio editor.
These settings help prevent accidental changes and define how certain interface tools behave while working in the editor.
All options affect only the editor interaction behavior and do not influence how projects run during playback.
Confirm Delete
When enabled, Grid Studio will display a confirmation dialog before deleting objects or elements.
This helps prevent accidental deletion when working with complex projects.
If disabled, items will be deleted immediately without an additional confirmation step.
Board View – Unlock Buttons
Artboards can be switched into a Run Mode, which allows the interface to be used as it would be during operation.
When an Artboard is in Run Mode, a Close button normally appears in the top-right corner. This button allows users to exit Run Mode and return to the editor.
If Board View – Unlock Buttons is disabled, this Close button will not be visible.
This can be useful in situations where the interface should run without providing a direct way to return to the editor view.
