Overview
The Import / Export tab contains preferences that control how certain file formats are exported from Grid Studio.
These settings define export behavior used when creating files that are intended to be used in external applications.
Currently, this section provides configuration options for FBX export.
FBX Export Format
Defines the format used when exporting FBX files.
Two export formats are available:
Binary
ASCII
Different 3D applications and tools may support only specific FBX formats. Because of this, Grid Studio provides both export options to ensure compatibility with a wide range of external software.
If an exported FBX file cannot be opened correctly in another application, switching the export format can often resolve compatibility issues.
